Project Highlight: From Water Feature Disaster to Hill Country Dream
When Vicki and Jeff moved into their New Braunfels home, they expected to enjoy the relaxing sights and sounds of a beautiful backyard water feature.
Instead, they were left with a leaking mess and an eyesore (shown in the photo above).
What was supposed to be a waterfall turned into a series of stagnant ponds that couldn’t hold water and became a breeding ground for mosquitoes, frogs, and frustration.
In fact, when our team first saw it, it was one of the best water feature failures we’d ever encountered.
But every great transformation starts somewhere.
Working closely with the homeowners, we completely reimagined the space into a natural-looking Hill Country water feature featuring massive boulders, cascading split waterfalls, a custom stone bridge leading to the garden, and a mortared patio built right into the feature so they could sit back and enjoy the sound of trickling water (see after photo below).
Vicki generously shared her story with us in a video interview.
