STONEBRIDGE POND & WATERFALL CO. NEARS COMPLETION OF FOUR-MONTH WEST AUSTIN MEGAPROJECT AFTER SURVIVING THE SURFACE OF THE SUNAfter four of the hottest months imaginable, Stonebridge crews are finally nearing completion of a massive custom waterfall and stream installation that has consumed their lives.
Tucked into the Texas Hill Country in West Austin, this ambitious landscape transformation features roughly 100 feet of naturalistic stream, an 18-foot elevation drop, thousands upon thousands of gallons of cascading water, and carefully placed boulders weighing anywhere from 2,000 to 6,000 pounds.
All designed to create a one-of-a-kind backyard retreat. All constructed while Central Texas spent the summer attempting to cook everyone involved alive.
Sources close to the project report approximately 9,000 opportunities for something to go wrong.
Yet against all odds:
THIS WATER FEATURE IS BEAUTIFUL.
Crew? Reportedly exhausted. Owner? Emotionally unstable. Water feature? Gobstoppingly gorgeous.
For Stonebridge, creating extraordinary outdoor living spaces means blending artistic vision, natural stone craftsmanship, and a frankly unreasonable commitment to getting every detail just right.
Check back next month for the grand reveal, gorgeous photos, and more on this developing story as Stonebridge attempts to remember what life was like before this project began.

Suuuuure, water features sound nice in theory…tranquil evenings watching the children chase frogs and count damselflies instead of being TV zombies, sunrise coffee by the waterfall as you do your daily check on your plants, friends stopping by “real quick” and staying for hours chatting by the stream, who doesn’t want all of that?
Well, maybe you don’t. So before we dig a giant hole, make sure you’ve taken this quiz to verify that the idyllic water feature lifestyle is right for you. You may even have a chuckle along the way, and as they say, laughter is the best medicine! We’re looking out for your yard, and your health, you’re welcome 😁. Are water features right for you? Let’s find out.

Fall is Slowly Arriving! (Texas Is Taking It’s Sweet Time)While pond owners around the country are busy netting their ponds and preparing for winter, here in the Texas Hill Country, we’re still enjoying the good life. Woo-hoo! Thankfully, fall pond and waterfall maintenance in Austin is pretty simple. Keep your water features running as usual, and pay a little extra attention to keeping those skimmers clean. A basket full of leaves and debris can restrict water flow to your pump, and nobody wants that. It’s also a good time to give your aquatic plants a little haircut. Trimming back yellowing leaves and spent foliage before they decompose helps keep excess nutrients out of the water, which means less opportunity for algae to make itself at home. And don’t get too worked up about falling leaves just yet. Around Austin and the surrounding Hill Country, the real cleanup party comes in spring, when our lovely live oaks decide to drop their leaves and catkins all at once. That’s when the fun begins! For now, keep the skimmers clear, tidy up those plants, and let your pond or waterfall do what it does best. And if you would rather we do the fall maintenance for you, we’ve got you covered with our maintenance services so you can enjoy the fresh air, listen to the water, and love your life.

Eric Needs a Vacation! It’s been one looooooong busy season as we’ve tackled one of our biggest projects yet, and Eric has been saying he needs a vacation. Do y’all have any ideas on where he should go? And do you think he should go solo, or bring some of these kids of ours in tow? If y’all took any fabulous trips recently (or not-so-recently) and have recommendations we would love to hear! Until then, we’ll be plucking away at the final stages on these big summer projects as the busy season slowly, but surely, winds down. Thank you as always for your support of our family business! Until Next Time, Ana, Eric, and The Stonebridge Team
