Award-Winning Water Features

A Stunning Natural Plunge Pool Installation:

Eric and crew designed and built a gorgeous Natural Plunge Pool in North East Austin this month featuring Spillway Bowls in the fountainscape, underwater lighting and incredible limestone boulders. With a gentle stone walkway into the pool, this incredible water feature will provide the homeowners with an area of their backyard oasis to take a refreshing dip on a hot summer’s day. A big thank you to our clients!

Water Garden Expo:

In late February, Eric and Anna traveled to Oklahoma to the Water Garden Expo, the industry’s premier educational event. Ana worked on the administrative team for this event and was even a presenter.

Ana was also featured on a podcast called “The Pond Digger” about the development of the Pond Professionals Alliance, a new community of pond builders worldwide, regardless of product/brand affiliation. The PPA have over 200 pond professionals that have already joined the group and on the podcast, she discusses the PPA’s future plans for events, collaboration and supporting the industry.

Welcome Gina Black:

Gina’s arrival marks an exciting new chapter in our journey as we continue to grow, and brings many different skills to the Stonebridge brand. A former organic vegetable farmer, Gina holds a certification in hydroponics and aquaculture from Farmtek Controlled Agriculture. After selling her farm in Atchison, KS, she worked in corporate leadership, helping to scale acquisitions for success. You may speak with her via phone, see her emails (and read her words in this newsletter) and also see her out in the field!

Live oaks and leaves and catkins, oh my!

It’s that time of the year again, Central Texas residents – live oak pollen and catkins are back! While they might stir up the occasional sniffle or an itchy nose, let’s pause for a moment and appreciate them as the heralds of new beginnings and the onset of warmer days.

Additionally, with an early and hot Spring, we’re sure many are struggling with algae. This is completely normal!

If you have a pond in need of a maintenance visit after the leaves and catkins bless us, or if you’re wrestling with algae, please reach out HERE and we can get you on the schedule.

Austin Pond Society: Upcoming Pond Tour

Austin Pond Society is having its 29th Annual Pond tour June 1st and 2nd, 2024. Although the list of ponds to tour this year is closed, if you’re interested in having your pond featured next year, please reach out to us! For tickets to the event, click HERE.

We joined the board of Austin Pond Society this year and have been enjoying monthly meetings on the 3rd Monday of the month @ Zilker Botanical Gardens.

Joining is fun because they host plant swaps twice/year and host dinners with speakers that are interesting on all things ponds and gardening. For info on joining, click HERE.
